1946 - A record high temperature of 78 degrees was set at Redwood Falls.
1984 - The temperature at Brownsville, TX, soared to 106 degrees, and Cotulla, TX, reached 108, equalling the March record for the U.S.

1987 - The second blizzard in less than a week hit eastern Colorado and western Kansas. High winds piled snow massive drifts, closing roads and killing thousands of cattle. Snow drifts 30 feet high were reported in Kansas.
